Summary | In this article the syntactic data traditionally qualified as “agentless” constructions of the “impersonal passive” are reviewed. The considered constructions represent a kind of structures where the agentive component is elipticaly omitted. Also is well known that the nuclear element responsible for the formation of the real impersonal constructions may be both “intransitive” (subject) and “transitive” (object) verbs. Moreover, the division in question of all verbal units on “transitive” and “intransitive” in most cases prove to be superfi cial. This incorrect interpretation is based on the use of the only one term “impersonal” (also “Verba impersonalia”) considered valid for real impersonal and indefi nite-personal sentences. | ||
